Reinforcing Position Words in Art

During pre-k through 4th grade, your child should learn position words. Your child does not have to learn the term, position word, but he should master the actual position words over time. The position words are taught in language arts, math, during daily life, and they can be illustrated in art.

Some position words in Art explore early concepts of perspective. For instance, things look smaller when they are far away. A tall building appears to become more and more narrow when looking up at it from the ground.
