A lot can happen in column U, but first let us take it from the top.
In Cell U3, you will choose a Grade Scale. Default is GS 1. You have two other choices - GS 2 and GS 3. GS 2 is, more or less, the classic 10 point grade scale - I think that is what people call it. GS 3 has NO grade scale, if you need the 3rd grade scale, you can add one at the GS-QP sheet.
Read more about grades scales at the GS-QP Sheet (Grade Scale - Quality Points)
The grading scales in the V planner are numbered in such a way as to work with the V Planner's formulas. For "regular" grading scales to use outside of V Planner, see this part of the High School page on "Grade Point Average": Two Grading Scale Examples
| 0% | 70% | 72% | 74% | 77% | 80% | 83% | 86% | 88% | 92% | 94% | 94% | 98% |
| F | D- | D | D+ | C- | C | C+ | B- | B | B+ | A- | A | A+ |
| 0% | 60% | 63% | 67% | 70% | 73% | 77% | 80% | 83% | 87% | 90% | 93% | 97% |
| F | D- | D | D+ | C- | C | C+ | B- | B | B+ | A- | A | A+ |
In Column U next to the graders you will see a Yes or a No. Yes is good, No is less than good. The formula behind No checks for several things regarding the set-up and use of the term grade calculators. There are explanations and pictures of what No means in the V Planner on the Err sheet.
Using, Not Using - There is a thorough explanation of what this drop-down control is for on the S-Help Sheet in the V Planner.
