The Dynamic Term Average Record has a long name. I placed it at the top of each S-Sheet and because I froze the panes, it stays there. The Dynamic Term Average Record has a drop-down list in Column M. That is the only "control" on it, but it will help you immensely. The drop-down list has the numbers 1 through 6 - those are Grading Term numbers and selecting one will show you the information from a particular Term Average Calculator. That is not all that the Dynamic Term Average Record does.

Before I go into the extreme usefulness of the Dynamic Term Average Record, I want to point out that when a term is chosen and that term has the dates that fall within the "Term Time Period" of now - the Dynamic Term Average Record will have a whiter background color and some of the text will be red. Compare the screen-shot above, which was not take anytime during 10/12 - 12/16 to the screen-shot below that was taken between 3/22 - 5/21 - see the difference in the colors? The screen-shot below was taken during a current "Term Time Period." That's not really important, let us move on.
I programmed Column C to let you know what Term Period you are currently in. (see image on right) Let's move on.

The awesome usefulness of the Dynamic Term Average Record is pictured below in two screen-shots. The Dynamic Term Average Record will highlight the active grading columns for the term selected in the drop-down list. Look at the two screen-shots below.

How is this useful to you?
This is how - When you add grades to the grading columns, it is useful to see which grading columns are active for grades. Just because there are 4 columns for grades does not mean that a grade can be placed in any of the 4 columns. The column must have been "activated" by a Term Calculator" first. By selecting the Term with Current Time Period, on the Dynamic Term Average Record, you will be able to see in which columns to place grades for that term. The Dynamic Term Average Record also brings over your active grade column headings (grade column names). That helps identify which column takes which sort of grade - be it a test score or something else. It is very important to place the grades in active columns. Grades that are placed in non-active columns will not count. They will not be picked up by the term calculators and this is why using the Dynamic Term Average Record set at the current Term is useful to you.
V-Planner - Videos - S-Sheets - The Dynamic Term Average Record
In the video I locate the active grade columns for each term by selecting term numbers at the Dynamic Term Average Record.
V-Planner - Videos - S-Sheet Setting up a Grading Term
In a minute and five seconds see how one grading term is set up. See a term grader set up with one column, then see one grade added. After that see the term grader changed to activate another grading column. Why it is related to the dynamic term average record - You can see the Dynamic Term Average Record in action as Term 1 is set up.
