Transcript Sheet - A Report

The Transcript sheet is a report type sheet. The report sheet tabs are pictured above. No data is entered into Transcript, but there are many places where you can type before printing.

The transcript is a one-year transcript. File a printed copy of it for each year for your records.

The transcript has a comment from me on almost every row. The comments are supposed to guide you to the drop-down lists and some of the rows where you may type. You can easily find typeable cells by using the Tab key on your keyboard if the sheet is protected. I recommend that you do not unprotect this sheet.

The Drop-Down Lists on Transcript

There are several of them for four purposes.

1. Choose the student's name in cell B2
2. Choose whether or not to show the GS column. The GS column is the grade scale column that is in column H. The purpose of the GS column is to show which grade scale was used for each subject. If one grade scale was used for all subjects, then you should hide the column.
3. In cells H27, H28, H29 you can choose to show grade scales that were used by the student. By Default, one grade scale will show-always. So- at cell H27 choose the grade scale that the student used. - Typically a student uses only one grade scale.
4. Choose a color - gray, green, or white in cell I31.

Column A is there in case you need to place an asterisk next to any of the subjects. There is a place at the bottom of the transcript (row 50) where you may note what the asterisks mean.

Rows 30 - 43 are open for typing. One group of items to place are extra-curricular activities.

Row 49 will have a rather clumsily worded summary when there is a "Yes" next to "Is the school year complete?" at the Data sheet.
