Adding Lesson Plans and Dates to the Planners

I've described the lesson planners on their pages. The pages are in the top menu, bottom row. I've also briefly described the planners in the list above. Here I will go over that important steps to take to get the lessons into the planners and to apply dates to your planners.

On some of the planner description pages you will see this: Assuming that you have selected dates and lesson plans <-- This is what I am going to describe here. I suppose this goes without saying, but I'm saying it anyway - Before you can add dates and lesson plans to the planners, you must first set up the school calendar at Days and you must first add lesson plans to the S-Sheets.

Selecting Dates for the Planners

See the official help file for this at: Days - The School Calendar

  • Go to the Days Tab
  • Remove last week's numbers [numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Choose this week's dates by placing any or all of numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 next to the dates in the first column.
  • -- The numbers reserves slots on the planners in the date areas. While I do not want you to think of slot one as Monday, slot 1 takes the spot that Monday usually takes. The numbers and what they mean are described at the Days help file at 3. Setting the Dates for the Planners See also the image pictured below, right. The slots defined on that picture apply to most of the planners.

Selecting Lesson Plans for the Planners

Selecting lesson plans is very similar to selecting dates - both use the numbers 1 through 5 to "reserve" slots on the planners. I want you to think of them as slots instead of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. A visual account of how to do this is at the help files: "S" Sheets Column A and the very much similar to Column A help page: "S" Sheets Marking Column A and below I have linked a short screen-shot video that shows one subject being marked for a planner.

Step By Step, What the Numbers Stand For, & One Important Rule

slot one
  • Step 1. At each S-Sheet, mark last week's lessons with a Y if they were completed. If they were not completed, they can be renumbered for this week.
  • Step 2. Number the lesson plans with any or all of these numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
  • 1 reserves the first slot
  • 2 reserves the second slot
  • 3 reserves the third slot
  • 4 reserves the fourth slot
  • 5 reserves the fifth slot
  • You can omit numbers - for instance not placing a "2" means that slot 2 on the planner will be empty.
  • The number can be out of order if you need such an odd thing. =)
  • Most Important Rule --Be sure to remember to remove or replace last weeks numbers.
