This page will serve as a topic index of the help files for the V Planner. Many of the links will be repeated under applicable headings.
Attendance Attendance is marked on the Days sheet by entering a Y in each student's column next to the dates.

Book Lists The book list is or can be the same as the reading list. The list is entered at the Data sheet
Bump Column The bump column is in V Planner DT. It allows you to customize class dates for each class without touching the list of lesson plans. Keep in mind that the Bump column is linear. You cannot schedule a lesson from two weeks ago amid lesson plans that are scheduled for this week. THAT is what the number set system is for - scheduling any lesson at any time.
Calendar The Calendar is not the school calendar. It is more of a personal organizer. Items from Calendar appear on some planners and the Today sheet.
Course of Study The COS sheet gets information from Data. The COS is a "report" sheet. No information is entered into the COS sheet.
Curriculum The books that you are using for curriculum are listed on the Data sheet. From there the book titles are sent to the S-Sheets and the COS. "Additional" books are sent only to COS.
Date System The date system is one of two ways to send lesson plans to planners. The date system use only those planners that have in the Tab name "-D". The date system uses the dates from the S-Sheets to send lesson plans. The date system is not connected in any way to the Number System.
Dates There are two types of dates in the V Planner - official school dates and dates that are not official school dates. An official school date is made or unmade at Days.

Dynamic Term Average Record is "pinned" at the top of every S-Sheet. Use it to highlight the current term. Highlighting the current term helps you place the grades correctly in columns F-I. See this video: V-Planner - Videos - S-Sheets - The Dynamic Term Average Record
Grades Grades are counted and averaged only after you have 1. Set up Terms in Column D and 2. Activated grade columns in Term Calculators

Grading Terms A grading term is a portion of the school year. In that school year portion (term), grades are averaged and attendance is counted. In the V Planner you can have 1 to 6 grading terms. There are report cards for 2-term, 3-term, 4-term, 5-term, and 6 term school years. The Term Grade Average Calculators that make all this possible are located on the S-Sheets.
Lesson Plans
Lesson Planners There are 4 Dynamic Lesson Planners and each student has a Daily and a Weekly Lesson Planner. The All planner and the DPT planner is designed for the parent.
Lists Lists is a sheet in the V Planner. The name is descriptive - lists are typed here. In V Planner V2, Lists has set aside 6 columns for six particular lists. One for each student, one for your "Notes" topics, and a list for the "Today" greetings. The student lists can be picked up by some of the lesson planners: Daily Planner Cell C12, The WkS# Planners, and Dynamic Planners DPV and DVH
Navigating the V Planner I have placed links to some of the sheets that I think will be used most. The links in the V Planner will work as long as the Tab Names are not changed.
Number System1-5 - The numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are used at the Tabs: Days and all of the S-Sheets. The numbers do nearly the same thing - The numbers reserve a slot of the planners. Numbers at "Days" reserves a date slot on the planners. Numbers at the "S-Sheets" reserve a lesson plan slot on the planners. Read more at the links listed below.
Note- DT planners do not use the Number System. The two systems for sending lesson plans are completely independt of each other. This means that you can use either one any time one is better over the other. If you want to schedule lessons out of order, use the Number System, otherwise; the Date System usually would work in most cases.

Planner Dates The dates for the planners are set in the Days sheet.
Random Entries placed in the cells in the Random sheet appear randomly on the Today sheet.
Reading List The reading list is the same as the Book List. The list is entered at the Data sheet. The book list appears on the COS sheet.

S-Sheets Huge and useful and full of data are the S-Sheets. S stands for student. At S-Sheet you will: Enter Lesson Plans and Teacher's Notes, Define Grading Terms, Set up the active grading columns and after all of that - which is that much, you will come back to the S-Sheets to select lesson plans for the planner and to add grades. There are many help pages for the S-Sheets. One set of help files is redundant, but I added the set just in case it would be easier to use. I've crossed linked the help files to make your bunny trails through the files more productive.

Standardized Tests On the Data sheet you can record up to three standardized test names and test scores. The information is then sent to the Report Cards and the Transcript.
Tabs Shown at the bottom of the sheets, the tabs are named by me and I made them colorful too. =p
Teacher's Notes Teacher's notes are related to lesson plans. While typing the lesson plans into Column B of the S-Sheets, you can enter teacher's notes in Column C. Teacher's notes are sent to these sheets: student planner - DP-S-T, student planner - DPT, the planners "Daily#", and the Report Sheet - PR-S.
Terms All of the 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 and 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2 that you see on the S-Sheets are defining grading terms
Term Grade Column Names This is the name that you give a grade column once you make it active by giving it a weight. This is done in the Term Calculators. See also Videos - S-Sheet Setting up a Grading Term
