V Planner DT

D stands for Date. T stands for Term.

About The V Planner DT

DT is a V Planner V2 and it has all of the features of V.2 plus the new features that are listed and illustrated below.

  1. Column D & the Terms worksheet: DT uses the Terms worksheet to set up grading terms for each child and in doing so, the Term columns on the S-Sheets are automatically filled in
  2. Column E & the Days worksheet: DT uses the Days sheet to atomatically fill Column E on the S-Sheets
  3. Column L can Bump Class Dates: DT has a bump column on the S-Sheets.

The V Planner DT is compatible with most of the help files for V Planner V2.

Four Images that Show How DT Handles Class Dates
that is different from the other V Planners

dt

The image above is one of the S-Sheets in V Planner DT. Notice that columns D and E are filled in. Column E gets its dates from the Days Sheet and it is currently showing a typical Monday through Friday series of dates. As is, the lesson plans will appear on a planner every school day. See image that is below that shows a screen shot and crop of two weeks of plans for this class.

dt

What if this were a 3-class a week course? Will you have to space the lesson plans in the lesson pan column? No, use the bump column. See the next image showing that numbers were typed into the bump column. This caused a certain dates to go away. Now some of the dates are Tuesday through Thursday. Addtionally, the term designations move along with the dates so that the grading terms continue to fall within the established term dates.

And in the image below, you can see how this looks in a planner. The image is showing a screen shot of two weekly planners cropped to show the 3 lesson plans per week that fall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

More About the Differences in DT - By Worksheet

S-Sheets- Column D and E are filled from other pages. Do Not attempt to fill Columns D and E at the S-Sheets.
Terms- Terms, the worksheet - you have to use it. Fill it in and the numbers are sent to Column D in the S-Sheets. The grade calculators on each of the S-Sheets will pick up the dates for the grading terms.

Terms of Agreement

This planner, as it is now, has taken more than 300 hours to create, so I really hope that you find it useful and I also hope that you do not take advantage of me by giving out the file. The planner is only available to current YoungMinds cd-rom customers at this time, which means the V Planner is brand new and it was not available prior to the 2011 CD. If you have purchased YoungMinds cd-rom and have the V Planner - I know it's a nifty file, but please do not give out or send the file to others or upload it anywhere.

Disclaimer

The file is "as is." It is also a work in progress. I make no warranties whatsoever regarding the file, it's quality, it's accuracy [although I do try very hard in those two areas ], and I cannot guarantee that you can open and use the file. The V Planner is part of the large file collection that is on YoungMinds CD-Rom 2011. The V Planner is an XLS file and requires that you have a compatible spreadsheet program on your computer in order to open and use the file. I do not provide the spreadsheet software.
