Homeschool Planners with Four Columns

This page from the by Columns Lesson Planner set features lesson planners with four columns. Like the other planners in the by Column set, the files are available in both PDF and DOC.

What would one do with a 4-column Lesson Planner?

  • A weekly planner for a 4-day school week?
  • A subject planner for a class that occurs 4-days a week? (Although subject planners should remain undated, arranging lesson plans for a 4-day-a-week class into a 4-column planner might be better for those of us who are "visual".)
  • A daily planner for 2 to 4 students?

If you would like to see more 4-Column lesson planners please visit this page: Homeschool Planners - 4x.

Lesson Planners with Four Column Files

I've included a representational image of each file. Choose the format that you prefer - PDF or doc. The PDF files may be opened and printed. The DOC files may be downloaded to your computer as long you agree to my Terms Of Use.

This 4x9 planner layout features 36 short blocks. If you use a 6-day school week, this layout might work well as "page 1" in a 2-day weekly planner when paired with this layout at the 2-column planners.

9 Rows: pdf filePDF  doc or rtf fileDOC

A 4x12 layout has small blocks so this layout might be best used in a subject planner and into which a brief schedule of pages are planned. If you like 12 rows, see also my Alexia Planner and in this set, see Three Columns and Five Columns.

12 Rows: pdf filePDF  doc or rtf fileDOC

How might one use this 18-row planner? See my suggestion at the 12-row planner above. If you need more columns, see Three Columns and Five Columns.

18 Rows: pdf filePDF  doc or rtf fileDOC

Note: Clicking on the doc links might load your word processor inside of your browser and that makes editing more difficult. Read how to get around that on the By Columns home page, 4th paragraph.

Adding Images to the DOC Files: On the bottom of the Homeschool Planners with One Column page, you can read a little about adding images to the word document files.

Succinct Lesson Plans

Succinct Lesson Planning was my lesson planning style and it is described in several places at my website and I have supplied forms to go with the method: Curriculum Key; Goals and Objectives.
