Vulnerability in Windows Help and Support Center Could Allow Remote Code Execution

"Recently a flaw in the Windows XP Help and Support Center was discovered and leaked. This flaw is now being exploited by criminals to deliver malware and there are no patches available yet. Microsoft is suggesting that people disable the vulnerable Help & Support Center component."

Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows XP Service Pack 3
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 2
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2
Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition Service Pack 2
Windows Server 2003 with SP2 for Itanium-based Systems

Read the information and to use the workaround, click on "Workarounds" and choose one of the methods. I used the "Using the Interactive Method."
Note: "Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk." -- Without distractions, just very carefully follow the instructions.

Thanks for this information. My laptop is Vista but my desktop is XP so I will get on there and follow the directions provided to safe guard my machine.
