Coffee Break
http://donnayoung.org
The unthinkable has happened. I am tired of drinking coffee, so tired of it that I am considering taking a long break from drinking it. However, I do not want to do without a hot beverage especially now that cold weather is coming. I do not drink sweet drinks routinely and that eliminates almost every other hot beverage except for tea and water. Tea will be my new hot morning drink.Do you know that I drink plain hot water in the evening and usually in the morning? This evening I had tea instead, but I did heat my morning water. I think I just like drinking something hot and it doesn't have to be flavored. Copyright © 2007 by Donna Young

This is truly shocking and I do not know what to think. Maybe you`ve had too much coffee each day for such a long time? I am drinking coffee again, though I think that I may begin having a cup of tea before going to bed at night, just to warm me up. With these larger coffee cups I`ve got I am not having as many cups though.
Let us know how you do with this. If I were you I`d make sure that the tea has caffeine in it or you may wind up w/horrible headaches from the withdrawals.
Are you
I think I will faint.
I just bought some black chai spice tea from STASH....I usually drink plain teas like English or Irish Breakfast teas. Hubby and I often have a cup of hot tea in the evenings...especially w/cool weather here. Can`t quite go for the cup of hot water though....
Rasberry Earl Grey by the Gypsy Lady (sold in supermarkets) is really quite good in the morning. Without sugar and cream or a dash of honey....
What kind of tea do you drink? I am partial to rooibos.
My MIL drinks hot water with a slice of lemon in it all the time.
I can`t believe it, but if you are going to drink hot water squeeze some fresh lemon juice into and cleanse your liver at the same time.
I like cold drinks, no matter how chilly it is. Hot tea makes me cringe, and coffee is only an occasional treat since I like it with sugar, whipped cream, and hazlenut syrup in a to-go cup. That`s probably too much information for you, but there it is.
I kicked it too- the coffee habit I mean. It was really upsetting my reflux problem.
I am on a Green-Tea
It is supposed to be good for your teeth (green tea).
It is a bit bitter though- so I have opted for a spoon of honey in it which probably decreases the cavity protection!
I am not loving it and am longing to just order some Almond-Amaretto Cappuccino instead.
Let us know how the Donna sans Coffee goes? It is a bit
Let us know how it goes. I do not think I could give it up now that I am hooked. It gets me through the dreary Washington days.
Thanks to Ginger, I have some tea variety, but generally, I drink regular or special tea early in the day and later, without much pause, I drink decaffeinated tea. Sometimes lemon is added and sometimes it is forgotten. I also forget to put it in my water when I drink it hot.
Michielle, thanks for the lemon/liver tip. Perhaps that will help me remember to put lemon in my water (and tea).
Sheri I can be your distant drinking buddy on weekends if my husband makes a pot of coffee, and he might. I`ve already mentioned to him that if he makes a pot on Saturday, I`ll have a cup. :)
