Black Swallowtail Caterpillars

Earlier today I took these photographs in my garden. The caterpillars shown here are, as far as I can tell, Black Swallowtail. The plants they are feeding on is fennel. I don't mind, I got the fennel for half price and I had been wondering what I was going to do with it.

I am posting these two photographs only because:

1. In the first image, the caterpillar seems to have, according to my daughter, "Spock Brow." I called it a quizzical brow.
2. The second caterpillar is, according to my daughter, "Soooo Cuuute!" I agree, it's dotted fake feet are cute. =]

    I love the second photo, because it shows the pseudopods. They look fuzzy and cute. lol
