Do schools kill creativity? by Sir Ken Robinson Video: 20 minutes
Quote from the person (TEDtalksDirector) who placed this video at youtube
“Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity.”
Lisa says
“Nobody knows what God looks like.”
“They will in a minute!”
I love it!! LOL
That was incredible and just what I needed to hear today. Thank you! I have a daughter majoring in Music and one who is at the Theatre 3-4 times a week studying acting, singing and dance. People look at me a little strange like how are your children going to make money. I just tell them everyone is having a hard time getting a job right now if they are going to struggle I want it to be doing something they enjoy but I really think their are so many ways to make a living doing what you love.
I do still put the “core” subjects first just like he is talking about and Art is always getting pushed out. If a kid can read and write they can learn to do just about anything so I saw why not foster their creativity and leave the rest up the Creator.
