Some of us have been homeschooling for several weeks now. How is it going? I hope at least it’s been good. Homeschooling is rarely perfect; it’s more like a roller coaster.
At our house, we were doing well, then allergy season struck! That usually takes the wind out of my daughter’s sails and we have been struggling to get back on track for the past 2-weeks. Overall though, school has been great.

I voted Both Good and Bad. We are doing pretty good and are trying a few new things. The problem I’m having is that I can’t seem to schedule everything well enough to get it all done in a day 🙄 . A few things are on hold at the moment because I decided to try Lapbooking, but haven’t received all of my fancy paper stuff in the mail yet 😛 . The rest is going great. I’m really happy with our curriculum choices for this year 😀 .

Things are going great here!!!!

I like your blog’s new look, Donna!
I can’t vote in your poll because “I just stuck a pencil in my eye so I wouldn’t have to grade math papers” is not an option. 😡
Just kidding! Everything is spectacular here! 😎

So far, so good. We are busy, though. My big, bright idea of not doing as much this year isn’t working out. 😕 We are getting it done and I actually feel more confident this year.

It is both good and bad, the logistics of going to college and homeschooling is interesting ❗
I think i need of this to get things done. but most of time I”m just too :sleepy: to care

Some good some bad but we’re having one of our best years yet. I’ll give credit for that where it is really due:
-God for direction and strength
-Hubby for being more involved and holding the 3 of us accountable.
-Kids for determination and honesty even when it hurts.
-My HS buddies – you should know who you are – who’ve been such a source of inspiration the past 4 years.
Donna, I love this new layout and that you’ve put the smilies here for us to use when we reply, I’ve missed that.

This new skin is based on facebook. It was all white, but I was very tired of my other all white skin, so I changed this one to be shades of gray.
I am preparing to upgrade to the next wordpress and along with getting a new skin, I have a lot of work to do before I can upgrade.
I’m so glad most of you can report good, even if it is paired with bad. That’s life isn’t it? Ours was often good and bad. This year is great, it’s our last year and there’s no math papers to grade.

So far homeschooling has been pretty so-so. No great achievements, no great disappointments, but progess is slow. 😕
Mostly I just wanted to use a reply smilie. Still good to us…you are! Cheers!

I voted good and bad. With the older kids it is going great. With the two younger ones it is not going so well. We are having a battle of the wills and that takes time out of school. Mama will win soon. 😈

Hi,Donna!! I am new to your site, and I must say, I LOVE IT!!! I have been Home Schooling for several years now. It is so refreshing to find a site that you can just stroll thru and find new ideas and great people who seem to also love what they do.
Many Blessings to you for a wonderful and encouraging site.

I voted “good and bad,” but it’s been mostly good. <—–Hey, he’s really cute!

Hi Sherry it’s nice to meet you. 🙂

Your site looks fabulous. I feel so bad that I have not been around to see how things are going for you. I stink…I know.
Our year is just going. We have had a very sick month and we lost almost three weeks due to junk like poison oak sumac, bronchitis, sick relatives and other things. I am ready for normalcy but I suppose I need to give that hope up. 🙄
Good to see how you are doing!

I am new to homeschooling, I found your site a few months ago and I love it!
Our homeschooling has been plain awful and I feel like giving up, I really do. I am new to homeschooling and my husband is not supportive, actually no one is supportive.
We can not afford to buy pricey curriculums, I have been putting things together here and there but it does not work smoothly. I am homeschooling 4 children in the ages of 2,7,8 and 13.
I am not sure what I have gotten myself into and I really do not want to send them back to Public School, it seems as though everyone is wanting me to fail at this and unfortunately at this point I am taking in water.
God Bless You.

I voted good and bad.
Things with Brendan are going pretty good- better than I expected in fact.
Things with Austin are a real struggle lately. Test scores are in the SERIOUS danger zone due to a severe case of the “unwilling and lazies”.
I’ve had to break out the trusty JAR a few times each week. SIGH.
At least I have a notebook handy with my “gameplan” and “plan B” ready to go. 😀
We should be able to get it all together in the next week.
(I hope…) 😎
