I have one precious pipe cleaner candy cane mixed in with all of my other old Christmas ornaments. My son, when he was six, made one. It is not quite like the one pictured here, it is made from two cut, instead of folded, pipe cleaners. It is pink and green and covered with glitter.

Having made these last year with my pre-k and kindergarten Sunday school class I will say that they are very easy and lots of fun to make.

This year I want to get a small Christmas tree to have in my class and we’ll decorate it with lights and the candy canes. The kids will be able to take them home the Sunday before Christmas.

This year I think that we’ll make the red and white plus the green and white.
